Most patients require a good two weeks at home following a tummy tuck. They are not quite able to get up and around the first three or four days without some sort of assistance, so work is really out of the question. And I require two weeks before a person can drive. So I think most of the time a two-week period is the right amount of time for recovery following a tummy tuck for doing ordinary things like driving and going to work. However, if you work from home, five to seven days is an adequate period for resuming some of that online work that you’re doing.

Breast augmentation is a bit easier to recover from than body contouring procedures. Usually either a breast lift, breast reduction, or breast augmentation fall into the same category, requiring four to five days off from work and a about a one week recovery.  Many patients could have a breast procedure done on a Wednesday or Thursday and be back to work on Monday. Of course you’ll be sore, but you’ll be fully functional.
