Corrective Surgery for previous saline implants that were ” too far apart,” rippled and not full in the upper part of the breasts. Implant position asymmetry occurred after previous breast augmentation. The breast crease (inframammary fold) dropped more than an inch, allowing the implant to drop too low. On the left, the implant failed to drop fully into the lower breast, causing the nipple to drop slightly below the center of the breast. Correction was performed, including:
- Repair of the right breast fold, elevating the position of the right implant.
- On the left, scar tissue was removed on the lower part of the breast, allowing the implant to drop and fill out the loose skin. In addition, the left areola was reduced in diameter to further improve symmetry.

This patient had revision breast implant surgery to replace her saline breast implants with silicone gel implants to achieve the softer feel she desired. In addition, Dr. Patronella corrected her capsular contracture, which occurs when scar tissue excessively hardens around the breast implant.

After having breast augmentation years earlier, this lady developed some sagging of her breasts. She wanted a perkier look. The implants were replaced with smaller saline implants under the muscle, and a breast lift was added to improve overall shape.
Patient 7 Case #28935

This very thin lady had prior breast augmentation with saline implants. She developed severe rippling in the upper part of the breast and a wide inter-breast distance. Larger, wider silicone implants were used to reduce the separation and correct the rippling. In addition, a breast lift was performed to eliminate loose skin and raise the position of the nipple.
Patient 8 Case #29074

Following breast augmentation, tightening of the implant capsule occurred, causing the implant to narrow and feel firm. The capsule was partially removed, and a larger high profile implant was placed to fill out the space and improve her shape.
Patient 9 Case #29213
Description:
Procedure: Corrective/revision breast implant surgery
Breast Implants: Silicone
Right: 600 cc, high profile
Left: 600 cc, high profile
Bra size before: DD
Bra size after: D
Age: 30
Height: 5’9
Weight:130 pounds
After breast augmentation , this lady felt that her implants were too large and heavy. She had excessively sized 775 cc implants (placed years prior). Her small frame could not support the weight of the implants, causing them to fall outward and downward. Corrective surgery was required to improve the balance and appearance of her breasts. This required reducing the pocket along the outer part of each breast to allow smaller implants to still maintain fullness along the inside part of each breast. Silicone gel implants were used to give the breasts a softer feel and reduce rippling.
Patient 10 Case #29310
Description:
Procedure: Corrective breast implant surgery
Breast Implants: Saline
Right: 300 filled to 370 cc, moderate plus profile
Left: 300 filled to 300 cc, moderate plus profile
Age: 35
Weight: 140 pounds
Height: 5’3
This patient had a significant asymmetry of breast development. The left breast is much larger and somewhat lower than the right. The breast fold on the right is also significantly higher than the left. Breast augmentation required lowering of the right breast crease (inframammary fold) and placement of a larger implant on the right to improve the asymmetry.
