Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy helps to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins through the injection of a salt solution, via a very small needle, into the unwanted veins. The irritation produced by the solution causes scar tissue to form, so that eventually the blood vessel stops transporting blood, and fades from view.
For one to two weeks after treatment, compression stockings will be worn to maintain pressure on the veins. Though it varies between patients, most will require two to three treatment sessions, with at least a month between each one, to achieve the most favorable results.
