Dr. Patronella received the prestigious award, "Best Aesthetic Journal Article" of 2008, from the respected Aesthetic Surgery Journal, the official publication of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In the article, “Thromboembolism in High Risk Aesthetic Surgery," Dr. Patronella and his colleagues presented research based upon a review of 3,871 body contouring cases.

As a result of his insights related to preventing deep vein thrombosis in patients, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons selected Dr. Patronella to receive its prestigious “Best Presentation Award,” at its annual meeting in 2006.
