Shopping

Tucked away amongst the various historic, elegant neighborhoods of Houston and its vibrant urban centers, you will find shopping districts that feature a vast array of specialty shops, cafes, and boutiques to explore.   Listed below are just a few of the well-known centers:

Town & Country Village
Conveniently located within blocks of Dr. Patronella's office, the Town & Country Village is an upscale mix of more than 75 shops, restaurants and services.  You'll find an assortment of popular clothing retailers and specialty shops including Barnes & Noble, Williams-Sonoma, Restoration Hardware, Barnes & Noble, Ulta, Ann Taylor, and Banana Republic.   Treat yourself to French countryside cuisine at the charming La Madeleine cafe or stop by Starbucks for a pastry and a venti latte.  More than 15 dining establishments are available from which to choose.

The Houston Galleria
As the nation’s fourth largest mall with more than 375 shops and restaurants to explore,  the Houston Galleria features top designers such as Chanel, Valentino, and Jimmy Choo alongside Gap, J. Crew, Victoria’s Secret,  and other well-known retail venues.  With an ice skating rink, two hotels and a multitude of restaurants from which to choose, you can easily wile away the day and soak in the sun streaming from its soaring glass balconies.

Uptown Park
This Italian-style piazza features more than 50 shops, boutiques, and cafes set amongst lush fountains and landscaping.  After strolling through the center’s unique boutiques, you can enjoy a delectable pastry from Crave Cupcakes or choose from sushi, sandwiches, or European-style cuisine for a relaxing dinner. Uptown Park is located at Post Oak Blvd. and Loop 610, just north of San Felipe.

River Oaks Shopping Center
Nestled between the upscale River Oaks and Upper Kirby neighborhoods of Houston,  the River Oaks Shopping Center features an eclectic mix of more than 75 shops and restaurants.  You can discover artists from all over the world through the handpainted oil paintings that line the walls of The Gallery at River Oaks.  Or you can catch the latest releases at Houston’s oldest functioning movie theater, the River Oaks Movie Theater, which opened in 1939.   The center has an array of dining choices,  including  Americas, with its Latin-flaired cuisine and wines, and  Tintos, which offers tapas and other Spanish fare.
