How Do the Lasers Work?
The lasers emit gentle beams of light into the skin, which are absorbed by the hair follicles. The laser energy is transformed into heat, which loosens the hair and eliminates the hair follicles responsible for producing hair, while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The number of treatments will depend upon your skin color, hair color, the coarseness of your hair, and the location of treatment. Because the lasers removes hair only when it is in its active stage of growth, at least 2-3 treatments will be necessary to ensure that all follicle are effectively treated.

What can I Expect During Treatment?
Smaller areas such as the upper lip and bikini areas can often be treated in 10 minutes or less. Larger areas can take 30 minutes or longer.You many experience temporary redness and a sunburn-like sensation in the treated area that may last for a few hours or several days, but most patients' normal activities are not interrupted. Treated areas can be soothed with cooling gels or cold compresses. Dr. Patronella advises that you avoid sun exposure for a few days after treatment to avoid hyperpigmentation of the treated areas.
