Dr. Patronella also specializes in breast lifts, or Mastopexy, for women who desire a lift to sagging breasts. Aging and pregnancy cause the skin to lose some elasticity, which causes the breasts to sag.

Mastopexy involves removing excess skin around the breast and raising the nipple to a higher position, while reshaping the breast skin. Women who are planning pregnancies may wish to postpone this procedure until after giving birth and breast feeding.

Mastopexy can be performed as outpatient surgery, and the procedure takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Most patients are able to return to work 4 to 5 days following surgery.
